To say that Mandii B aka @fullcourtpumps journey to the top of the podcast world has been untraditional would be an understatement. Her show @whoreible_decisions averages over 70,000 plays per episode, which puts it in the top 1% of all podcasts in the world. She's at the top of the industry but her journey is far from what you might expect.
Her life plan was to climb her way up the ladder of corporate success. She went to college for accounting and after graduating, landed a job with Ernst & Young which is one of the largest accounting firms in the world. She was on a career path to move up the ranks and earn income in the high six figures in a few years.
While she was working as an accountant by day, she was building a podcast by night. The podcast soon consumed her time and energy. After applying the same business skills that she learned from working in high finance to the world of podcasting, she and her co-host @weezywtf were able to turn their side-passion project into a thriving business.
She left her career as an accountant last year when she matched her annual corporate salary from her show in the first 5 months of the year. After that, she took the leap of faith and became a full-time podcaster.
She now is on a national tour with her show. In episode 56 of @earnyourleisure Mandii broke down her shows revenue model step by step and explained how they brought in a quarter-million dollars last year. The podcasting world has a lot more millionaires to make in the next few years. In this episode, she gave all the tools and insight to anyone that needs to get going.
